Amber Harper was introduced to ballet at the age of 4. She began her training with Cincinnati Ballet at the age of 9 in their Otto Budig Academy. During that time as a student, she performed in many productions such as Septime Webre’s Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Coppelia, King Arthur’s Camelot, Beauty and the Beast, and Victoria Morgan’s Nutcracker, in which she danced the role of Clara in 2018.
Amber has also earned scholarships and attended summer intensives at Cincinnati Ballet, Kansas City, Atlanta Ballet, and Alvin Ailey. She joined Cincinnati Ballet’s Professional Training Division for the 2021/2022 season and was then offered a Trainee position for the 2022/2023 season. Throughout this time, she has performed with the company in The Nutcracker including the roles of Snow and Flower Corps, Alice In Wonderland, Snow White, Cinderella, Bolero, George Balanchine’s Valse Fantasie, set by Margaret Tracey, and Balanchine’s Raymonda, set by Jennifer Ringer.
