ADULT DANCE + FITNESS


Cincinnati Ballet’s Adult Dance and Fitness Division is designed to keep you in motion with a wide variety of dance-inspired workouts and classes in our Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance. Taught by expert faculty in a relaxed environment, classes are offered on a flexible, drop-in basis in a range of styles from Ballet and Pilates to Modern and Contemporary. Whether you’re exploring dance for the first time or have years of experience, our Adult Dance and Fitness Division connects adults at all levels to the best Cincinnati Ballet has to offer.

Open to ages 16 and up.

Adult Weekend Intensive

July 21 – 23, 2023

Cincinnati Ballet’s Adult Weekend Intensive is an immersive experience for adult dancers who want to take a deeper dive into their technique while exploring the breadth of Cincinnati Ballet’s Adult Dance + Fitness offerings.

New to Cincinnati Ballet Adult Dance + Fitness?

Your first class is on us! When you create your Mindbody account (see our schedule webpage noted above) and register for the class you are interested in, the free introductory class offer will automatically be added!

Free Dance week: January 2 – 8, 2024

Dance your way into 2024 with a week of free classes at Cincinnati Ballet! From January 2-8, 2024 all Adult Dance + Fitness classes are free!

class attire


Adult Dance + Fitness Division students are encouraged to wear form-fitting clothing that allows them to freely move and stretch with comfort. Activewear or dancewear is suggested based on the student’s preferences. Footwear and other class-specific suggestions are noted below:
Ballet: Ballet shoes are recommended
Barre Fitness: Socks are recommended and participants should bring a yoga mat
Modern or Contemporary: Bare feet, ballet shoes, jazz shoes or socks are recommended
Pilates: Bare feet are recommended and participants should bring a yoga mat
Street Dance: Relaxed street attire that allows for movement and sneakers are recommended
The VM Workout: Sneakers are recommended and participants should bring a yoga mat

covid-19 safety measures


In line with recommendations of the CDC, masks are optional for all participants. Anyone experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness should refrain from entering the Center for Dance.
