Since 1963, Cincinnati Ballet’s core mission has been to share the power of dance to both local and global communities. Your generosity is critical to the success of our mission.
What you may not know is ticket sales account for only about 30% of the Cincinnati Ballet’s annual operating budget. Nearly three-fourths of the funds it takes to operate the Ballet come from donors and other charitable giving.
Without you, our loving patrons and donors, the art we create would not be possible. Without you, we would be not be able to present world-class ballets and world premieres, to collaborate with other artists and ballet companies, to spark the love of dance in young students and to provide high-caliber training to future generations. Please browse our donation methods below to find the area you would like to support.
To make a donation in honor of longtime Ballet supporter, Larry Kellar.

A great ballet company depends on many partnerships. Among our most valuable partnerships is the everlasting relationship with our Legacy Circle. The Legacy Circle recognizes patrons who make planned gifts for Cincinnati Ballet, allowing us to continue to enrich our community through the beauty, power and passion of dance – not just today; not just tomorrow; but far into our future.
“I have included Cincinnati Ballet in my will [to] express my gratitude for the many hours of enjoyment our wonderful company has brought not only to me, but also to our community.”
Bequests allow the company to present exhilarating performances, conduct extensive education engagment programs, offer top level professional ballet training at Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy and endow key artistic positions. Suggested language for bequests;
“I give, devise and bequeath $________ or __% of my estate to Cincinnati Ballet, an Ohio nonprofit corporation, to be used at the discretion of the Cincinnati Ballet Board of Trustees.”
Should you wish to designate your gift for a specific purpose, we strongly recommend that you contact us to discuss the restriction to make sure that we are able to honor your intentions. Restricted gifts should include the following language:
“If at some future date, circumstances at Cincinnati Ballet should change so that the uses and purposes for which these funds have been designated are no longer possible or permissible or are in conflict with the policies of the Board of Trustees, then the Board of Trustees may, at its sole discretion, determine the permissible use most closely related to that identified by the testator and consistent with the testator’s general interests and charitable intent in supporting the Cincinnati Ballet.”
