The Variations Workshop invites dancers into the world of classical repertoire, offering focused exploration of beloved variations while developing the skills needed to shine as a solo artist. It’s an ideal way to make the most of summer, whether preparing for competitions, upcoming intensives, or simply deepening artistry and confidence.

The Variations Workshop runs Monday – Friday from 1:00 to 4:30 PM.
Cincinnati Ballet’s Variations Workshop is designed for dedicated young dancers ready to grow as individuals and artists. Whether preparing for performance opportunities or looking to expand repertoire and deepen personal expression, dancers are supported in refining both technique and artistic voice.

Whether your goal is to take center stage at a ballet competition or discover new ways to shine in the studio, this one-week experience supports dancers in expanding their repertoire and stepping forward with greater confidence and clarity as solo artists.
The Variations Workshop is open to students ages 11 and up who have been on pointe for one year or more (pointe requirement not applicable to male students). Following registration, students are divided into smaller groups by experience level. Those who are newer to pointe may do variations work in flat shoes. No placement assessment is required.
All classes take place at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance which is located at 1801 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, OH.
$395 per participant
(plus $25 registration fee)
