CB Moves is designed to foster a love of dance and creative expression for individuals with specific needs. With curriculum designed in consultation with the Division of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy at Cincinnati Children’s, we offer a variety of classes for students from age four through young adults. Led by qualified faculty and experienced physical therapists, our CB Moves team is deeply committed to safely supporting all participants as they explore the rich benefits of movement, music and a highly engaged student community.
Open to students ages 4 – young adult. Placement assessment required for all participants.
Join us this summer for CB Moves Family Dance Days! Our CB Moves faculty will be dancing to all our favorite tunes and we hope you’ll join us in the studio. Whether you are a current student or trying CB Moves for the first time, this is a great way for students and loved ones to connect through creativity and movement. CB Moves is Cincinnati Ballet’s signature adaptive dance program designed for students with specific needs who depend on mobility, behavioral or cognitive support. Each dancer must have an adult (18+) dance partner with them. Families are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy together after class.
Join us for one or all three!

CB Moves classes run for 20 weeks beginning in October and concluding in April. Classes prioritize the safe exploration of movement and musicality for the benefit of each student’s personal and social growth and are structured to support students based on the resources best suited to their specific needs.
CB Moves students are placed in class groups through an assessment process done in partnership with Cincinnati Children’s that’s designed to determine which resources students need to be most successful in the studio.
Optional performance participation in the Community Division Celebration.
All classes take place in person at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance.
Payment plans are available. Families in need of financial support are invited to contact the Academy at cbacademy@cballet.org to request a financial aid application.
New students are invited to complete the questionnaire below so we can guide you to the best class option for your student.
