Aaliyahmarie Key grew up in Landover, Maryland. She began training at Maryland Youth Ballet in 2015. In 2022, she joined the San Francisco Ballet School on a merit scholarship before entering the Trainee Program in 2023. Following two years as a Trainee, she was promoted to Apprentice with San Francisco Ballet for the 2025-26 season.
As an apprentice, she performed Liam Scarlett’s Frankenstein; Yuri Possokhov’s Onegin; George Balanchine’s Serenade, Diamonds, and Stars and Stripes; Helgi Tómasson’s Don Quixote; August Bournonville’s La Sylphide; and Aszure Barton’s Mere Mortals.
Aaliyahmarie is delighted to join Cincinnati Ballet for the 2026-27 season and looks forward to exploring new repertoire with the company.
