Phoenix Decker began dancing at the age of seven in Lincoln, Nebraska. While trained in a variety of dance styles, he is especially passionate about ballet and contemporary. In 2023, hereceived a scholarship to train at the Rock School, where he spent three years under the mentorship of Peter Stark. There, he expanded his classical repertoire through soloist roles in The Nutcracker, La Bayadère, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Napoli, as well as original works by Robert Weiss and Maria Konrad. In 2024, he was invited to perform “Bolero X” with the International Contemporary Ensemble (IC:EX) at the YAGP New York Gala. He has spent summers dancing with the Rock School, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. Phoenix is honored and thrilled to join Cincinnati Ballet Second Company and looks forward to continuing to grow and perform alongside its artists.
