Roxy Slavin began her training in Denver, CO. At the age of 12, she was one of the youngest Americans to be invited to train full time at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and moved to Moscow, Russia. In 2020, she moved back to the United States and began training at The HARID Conservatory. At 17, she joined Milwaukee Ballet’s Second Company. While at Milwaukee Ballet, Roxy performed in many of Michael Pink’s ballets, including Dracula, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and more. She also performed in Kenneth Tindall’s Casanova and Mark Godden’s Carmen. In the Second Company productions, she performed principal and soloist roles, including Gamzatti in La Bayadère, and a soloist in Paquita.
Roxy is thrilled to continue with Cincinnati Ballet where she performed last season in Septime Webre’s The Great Gatsby, Victoria Morgan’s The Nutcracker, Kirk Peterson’s Swan Lake, George Balanchine’s Serenade, and more. She also had the honor of dancing as a soloist with the Cincinnati Opera in Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus and Eurydice.
Roxy has earned numerous Youth America Grand Prix awards, including the YAGP Hope Award. She has been invited several times to the YAGP Finals in New York City where she received many scholarships.
