Simon Plant was born in Sydney, Australia, and has been dancing since he was seven years old. A 2013 graduate of The Australian Ballet School, Simon has worked for The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. He joined Cincinnati Ballet in 2022. In his career Simon has danced on hallowed stages across the globe, performing works by renowned choreographers including Wayne McGregor, Jiří Kylián, Dwight Rhoden, William Forsythe, and George Balanchine. He takes pride in his role as teacher, fostering the next generation and working locally across Cincinnati as well as for Cincinnati Ballet Academy and Complexions Academy Intensives. Simon is also a published fiction author, and spends most weekends DIY-renovating the house he shares with his husband of ten years.
