Elise Elliott


Originally from Sacramento, California, Elise Elliott danced with Houston Ballet for ten seasons, retiring as a Soloist in 2017. She enjoyed being featured in renowned and original works by many choreographers, including Stanton Welch, Antony Tudor, Ben Stevenson, Jiří Kylián, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Christopher Bruce, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Wayne McGregor, and John Cranko. She was also fortunate enough to tour with the company to many countries, including Australia, China, Canada, Germany, and Spain.

In 2017, Elise became Texas Academy of Dance Arts’ Ballet Director in The Woodlands, TX, as well as the Founding Artistic Director of their Youth Ballet Company. In 2021, Elise joined Texas Ballet Theater as their School Business Manager, as well as a Professional Training Division (PTD) and Advanced Instructor and choreographer in the esteemed school. In 2022, Elise began as Rehearsal Director for Sacramento Ballet. In 2025, she became Interim Artistic Director for the company, as well as Artistic Consultant to the School of Sacramento Ballet.

She is an esteemed master teacher, providing master classes and private lessons to companies and schools throughout the country. Elise is also a certified fitness coach—she enjoys working with her clients at Club Studio, as well as helping ballet dancers around the country cross-train. She is married to Rhodes Elliott, and they have three children. Elise is honored to be a Resident Faculty member in Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy.
