Student Services Manager

JACKIE sMITH


Jackie Smith is an Arts Educator and Administrator who strives to uplift our community through art and dance. At the age of two years old, she started her first ballet class in Oxford, Pennsylvania and has been involved in the arts on stage and off ever since! Jackie’s passion led her to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio to obtain degrees in Theatre, Business Management, and a minor in Arts Management.

For over a decade, Jackie has been teaching theatre, dance, and visual art, stage managing, house managing, directing, playwriting, designing, and administratively supporting and building arts programs in the greater Cincinnati area. She has worked for many arts organizations including being an Education Associate at The Carnegie in Covington, KY, Teaching Artist for The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Theatre Director for Jersey Productions, Theatre Director for Notre Dame Academy, and House Manager at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Additionally, Jackie currently serves as the Director of Education for Pones. Through these positions, Jackie has collaborated with over 100 schools and partners to reach over 6,000 dance participants annually, directed 25 stage productions, written over 75 original one-act plays, directed and co-screenwriter of 32 short educational dance films with NKCES Arts Express, and more.

In late 2024, Jackie brought her breadth of experience to Cincinnati Ballet as the Student Services Manager where she continues to positively impact the community through dance programming and administrative leadership. It is her lifetime goal to share and cultivate the arts for all community stakeholders and build a successful foundation for all arts and dance to thrive into the future.
