Annie Fitzpatrick was promoted to Apprentice for the 2024-2025 Season after one season in Cincinnati Ballet Second Company – CB2. From Sterling, Massachusetts, Annie began her dance training at Paula Meola Dance and Performing Arts. At 14, she joined Sterling Youth Ballet and competed at YAGP, earning first place in her contemporary solo choreographed by Justin Allen and third place in her classical variation, Grand Pas Classique, earning her a spot in the New York Finals. From YAGP she accepted a scholarship to attend HARID Conservatory’s Summer Intensive in Boca Raton and was selected to train with their professional division in Florida the following year.
Annie’s time at HARID was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic but she was soon training with Boston Ballet’s pre-professional division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts. She trained under the direction of Margaret Tracey, Kathleen Mitchell, Miranda Weese, and Andrea Long. After graduating from Walnut Hill, she continued her training with Boston Ballet as a Post Graduate where she danced company roles in Mikko Nissen’s The Nutcracker, and Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty and learned Nanine Linning’s world premiere, Le Mer.
She has attended summer intensives at Akmendova Ballet Academy, Pennsylvania Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Complexions and was recently selected to participate in Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet Summer Program where she worked with choreographers and teachers Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Andrew McNicol, Maurice Causey, Julia Erickson, and Stephen Mills.
