CB Moves Youth is designed to foster a love of dance and creative expression for students age 4 – 18 with physical or cognitive challenges. With curriculum designed in consultation with the Division of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy at Cincinnati Children’s, we offer a variety of classes that support a range of adaptive resources. Led by qualified faculty and experienced physical therapists, our CB Moves team is deeply committed to safely supporting all participants as they explore the rich benefits of movement, music and a highly engaged student community.
OPEN TO STUDENTS AGES 4 – 18 BASED ON PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT
CB Moves classes run for 20 weeks beginning in October and concluding in April. Classes prioritize the safe exploration of movement and musicality for the benefit of each student’s personal and social growth and are structured to support students based on the resources best suited to their physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
CB Moves Youth participants have access to a wide variety of supports and in-studio resources and no two classes are exactly alike. Students go through an assessment class completed in partnership with Cincinnati Children’s before receiving an invitation to a specific class. Our assessment process is designed to connect students to the resources best suited to help them succeed in the studio based on their unique needs.
Optional performance participation in the Community Division Showcase.
All classes take place in person at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance.
