Cincinnati Ballet believes the beauty of live performance should be widely accessible to school-age students throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Through Student Matinees, the Community Performance Series at the Center for Dance, and touring productions, our school and community partners have a variety of low-cost opportunities to make dance and performing arts easily accessible to their students.
Cincinnati Ballet’s touring community performances bring dance directly to your school or community center. These productions offer a fun and approachable introduction to live performance with titles that connect to select age groups and are based on educational themes from Ohio’s and Kentucky’s academic standards. Each performance features our Professional Training Division dancers and is designed to be affordable and accessible to our school and community partners.
Cincinnati Ballet’s Student Matinees connect students and teachers to live dance with morning performances (for select productions) at the Aronoff Center, Music Hall, and our new Valentine Center for Dance. These performances support interdisciplinary learning and can be used to integrate dance into the classroom while experiencing the beauty and magic of live dance.
The Community Performance Series features three annual productions with week-day performances reserved specifically for school groups at Cincinnati Ballet’s new Valentine Center for Dance.
These hour-long performances are designed to welcome new audiences to dance through accessible storytelling, relatable themes, fun choreography, and audience engagement.
