Cincinnati Ballet is thrilled to offer the magic of live performance to schools and community centers throughout the greater Cincinnati area. Our touring community performances offer a fun and approachable introduction to dance and live performance with titles that connect to select age groups and are based on educational themes from Ohio’s and Kentucky’s academic standards. Each performance features our Professional Training Division dancers and is designed to be affordable and accessible to our school and community partners.
Classical ballet stories have the most heroic characters and some of their greatest foils. Join our Professional Training Division dancers as they dance the repertoire of ballet’s legendary and dramatic characters including the Lilac Fairy and Carabosse from The Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and Captain Hook from Peter Pan, Odette and Odile from Swan Lake, and Alice and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
The material for this production was created using the academic standards for third to fifth grade students. The performance is appropriate for ages 5 and up.
This abridged version of The Nutcracker will get you moving with our dancers. Join Clara on her holiday journey and transform into party guests, mice, and soldiers as her story unfolds. Clara’s journey would not be complete without a visit from the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cotton Candy Cavalier. This interactive version of the classic story is sure to become a treasured holiday tradition for years to come.
The material in this production is interactive and family friendly and can be adapted for a variety of ages and grades. The minimum age recommendation is three years old.
The wit and wisdom of Aesop’s Fables is one of our most treasured literary traditions. Laugh and learn alongside our dancers as they transform into the animals and creatures inspired by Aesop’s poignant stories of character and relationship. This performance brings to life the tales of one of the world’s most masterful storytellers in a new and exciting way.
