Jenna Potvin was born in Aiken, South Carolina. At the age of 14, she began her pre-professional training at the Art of Classical Ballet under the direction of Magaly Suarez. She furthered her training at the European School of Ballet’s Classical Trainee Program in Amsterdam.
Jenna was invited by Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) to perform at the 10th International Gala in Mexico in 2021. In 2023, she was selected to compete at the Prix de Lausanne and at YAGP Toronto, where she was offered a position with Tulsa Ballet II.
During her time with Tulsa Ballet, Jenna performed in a variety of works, including The Sun Sleeps by Yury Yanowsky, Anna-Marie Holmes’ Don Quixote, The Nutcracker by Ma Cong and Val Caniparoli, Derek Deane’s Strictly Gershwin, and Edwaard Liang’s Romeo and Juliet. In the spring of 2024, she was invited to perform as guest artist with Miami City Ballet in Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake, and was invited to return for the production in the summer of 2025 on tour to California.
