Piper Panek began her training at Pittsburgh Ballet House and Taylor and Company at age 4. She studied all genres of dance and started concentrating in ballet and contemporary. At age 14, she trained and competed under Cynthia Castillo and Damien Martinez Coro at West Point Ballet in Coraopolis, PA. She performed many feature roles where she gained performance experience. She spent her summers attending summer intensives at Philadelphia Ballet, Houston Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet,
and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Through the years, Piper has won first place awards in both classical and contemporary categories at YAGP, ADC/IBC, and was awarded the Legacy Award at UBC/IBC semi-finals. She performed La Esmeralda in the UBC/IBC finals gala and placed 3rd. In 2023, she was selected to attend Grand Audition in Barcelona, Spain where she advanced to the Second Round. Following graduation, she joined BalletMet Academy on partial scholarship as a trainee under the direction of Maria Torija. She performed in BalletMet company productions of Gerard Charles’s The Nutcracker as well as Edwaard Liang’s Romeo and Juliet and Alice in Wonderland. In 2024, she joined Cincinnati Ballet Academy as a trainee. During her year as a trainee, she danced in the company productions of Devon Carney’s Giselle, Victoria Morgan’s The Nutcracker, and Septime Webre’s The Wizard of Oz. Piper was promoted to the Second Company where she is excited and grateful to be dancing alongside their many talented dancers.
