Director’s Vision: Two Voices invites audiences to experience two distinct artistic perspectives that speak to who we are and how we connect. This double bill features acclaimed South African choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, who challenges our dancers to explore movement as a catalyst of change through unity. Complementing this contemporary work is George Balanchine’s Square Dance, which gives voice to the American spirit by fusing folk traditions with the clarity and precision of classical ballet. Though these works emerge from different artistic paths, they converge in a shared expression of humanity, inviting audiences to experience two voices that ultimately leave as one.
