Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Adriana Lizardi began her ballet training at the Balletteatro Infantil de Puerto Rico, later passing onto Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico. She worked with the company of Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico for a season, then after receiving a scholarship she moved to Boston to train with Boston Ballet School where she finished her ballet training and worked with the main company.
She worked with companies in the United States, France and Belgium including National Opera de Bordeaux and Royal Ballet of Flanders, before joining the English National Ballet in 2014. During the 2019-2020 season, she took a sabbatical year from ENB to work with the company in the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
