Children’s Division

Creativity, Confidence and Capacity Through Dance

The Children’s Division Program is designed to inspire a life-long love of dance while building creativity, confidence and capacity in students ages 2-7. Through age-appropriate curriculum, students develop coordination, muscle strength, gross motor skills, musicality, listening skills and spatial awareness. Imagination and individual artistic expression are key components as students explore their creative potential. The fundamentals of classical ballet are gradually introduced with each level building upon the next, setting students up for success as they graduate into the Main Division.

Academy Registration

It’s not too late to register! Enrollment is open to all students through January 15th.

Registration is for the full school-year program beginning in October 2020 and concluding in May 2021. In addition to tuition, students are required to pay a $35 Registration Fee and a $95 Spring Production Fee (if applicable). Please reference the class listings below when registering your student.

Free Trial Classes

For students ages 2 to 7

This fall, the Academy is pleased to offer free trial classes for students ages 2 – 7! These virtual class offerings are a great way to explore dance for the first time or preview the Academy experience from the comfort of your home. To sign up, simply register via the link below.

Kids Dance Camp 2020

For students ages 4 – 8

During summer 2020, Kids Dance Camp celebrates the Summer of Dreams as we venture over the rainbow and under the sea to explore favorite story ballets including:

June 1 – 5: The Wizard of Oz
June 8 – 12: Cinderella
July 27 – 31: The Little Mermaid

Children’s Dance Classes

For students ages 2 – 7

The Children’s Division School Year Program consists of weekly classes for students age 2 – 7 beginning in October and concluding in May. All students enrolled in studio classes will culminate their year with performance in the annual Spring Production.

Students are placed by age as of September 1, 2020.

Class Offerings

Petite Pas de Deux

For students ages 2-3 accompanied by an adult. Classes meet once a week and are 30-minutes in length.

Children’s Division Level 1

CD1 is for students ages 3-4. Classes meet once a week and are 45-minutes in length.

Children’s Division Level 2

CD2 is for students ages 5-6. Classes meet once a week and are 45-minutes in length.

Children’s Division Level 3

CD3 is for students ages 6-7. Classes meet once a week and are 60-minutes in length.

Program Registration

Registration is now open to all students. Classes begin the week of October 5th. Please review the Health and Safety Guidelines below prior to registering.
