Budig Academy serves the greater Cincinnati area through world-class dance education programs. Whether students aspire to dance as a profession or pursue it as a personal passion, we believe dance training allows them to unleash potential that proves impactful in all areas of their lives. Led by nationally recognized faculty, our guiding principles are to teach, challenge, and inspire the whole student to achieve their highest goals in a nurturing and positive environment.
As the official school of Cincinnati Ballet, the Otto M. Budig Academy offers intimate access to the region’s preeminent professional ballet company. Academy students train in the same spaces as our professional dancers, have the opportunity to perform in mainstage Company productions, receive exclusive invitations and discounts, and connect to invaluable mentorship and career resources. The up-close connection to our professional dance community creates extraordinary student experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
In 2021 Cincinnati Ballet opened its doors to the new Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance. The iconic space serves as a full-service community center for dance with accessible programs available to all ages and abilities. In addition to our signature ballet training, the Center for Dance features classes in a wide variety of dance styles, adult dance and fitness programs, and community performances and events.
