The Variations Workshop dives into beloved classical variations for dancers desiring to develop their skills as solo artists. It offers the perfect opportunity to use the summer break to prepare for competition season or your summer intensive.

The Variations Workshop runs Monday – Friday from 1:00 to 4:30 PM.
Cincinnati Ballet’s Variations Workshop is designed to inspire young dancers interested in exploring classical solo variations. The one-week program supports students desiring to pursue competition opportunities or for those who want to expand their own repertoire and artistry.

Whether your goal is to take center stage at a ballet competition or discover new ways to shine in the studio, the Variations Workshop will develop your technique and style as a solo artist.
The Variations Workshop is a prerequisite for Otto M. Budig Academy dancers wishing to represent the Academy at YAGP or other national or international competitions.
The Variations Workshop is open to students ages 9 and up with formal dance experience. Following registration, students are divided into smaller groups by age. No placement assessment is required.
All classes take place at the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance which is located at 1801 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, OH.
$395 per participant
