Romeo and Juliet

Ballet meets poetry in the immortal tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, running February 12–20, 2027. Featuring Edwaard Liang’s breathtaking choreography, stunning new sets and costumes, and live music performed by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. This powerful production brings romance and heartbreak vividly to life – complete with thrilling, world-class fight scenes you won’t want to miss.

This double bill features acclaimed South African choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, who challenges our dancers to explore movement as a catalyst of change through unity.

Complementing this contemporary work is George Balanchine’s Square Dance, which gives voice to the American spirit by fusing folk traditions with the clarity and precision of classical ballet. Though these works emerge from different artistic paths, they converge in a shared expression of humanity, inviting audiences to experience two voices that ultimately leave as one.

Family Series:
hansel and Gretel

Adapted from the fairy tale classic, this charming production is designed to delight audiences of all ages. It features familiar characters. This one-hour ballet brings the beloved fairy tale to life for all ages and features the Second Company, CB2, alongside students from the Cincinnati Otto M. Budig Academy in this regional premiere at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
