CB MOVES FOR PARKINSONS

November 14th, 2021

Cincinnati Ballet is now offering specialized classes for persons living with Parkinson’s Disease. CB Moves for Parkinson’s was created in partnership with the Cincinnati chapter of the national group — Dancing with Parkinson’s — to provide dance classes to persons with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. Classes are held at the Cincinnati Ballet Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance in Walnut Hills on Mondays and Fridays and at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center on Wednesdays. The $10 class fee covers both the participant and a companion. Financial aid is available. Together we move, laugh, sing, and support one another on our unique journeys with Parkinson’s disease. Teachers have attended professional development workshops with the national Dance for PD® program. Instructors come from a variety of dance backgrounds and work together to create diverse classes that target aspects of life most affected by PD. CB MOVES for Parkinson’s and Dancing with Parkinson’s work closely with several like-minded community organizations to make this class possible. They help us to keep costs low for participants and extend our reach into more communities.
