Touring our Nutcracker to Washington, D.C. | November 23-27
The 2016-2017 Cincinnati Ballet season — Artistic Director and CEO Victoria Morgan’s 20th Season — is full of momentous occasions. In addition to a stunning series of performances in Cincinnati, the company has been invited to tour to Washington D.C. and present seven Nutcracker performances at the world-renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, November 23 through 27, 2016. The Nutcracker is a beloved holiday tradition and each year, The Kennedy Center selects one outstanding ballet company to present their unique version of the cherished ballet. In recent years, The Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West and American Ballet Theatre have toured their Nutcracker to The Kennedy Center — and now Cincinnati Ballet joins this group of esteemed American ballet companies.
To celebrate this thrilling honor, Cincinnati Ballet is planning a group trip to Washington D.C. Packages will include special dinner, parties, a bus tour of D.C., special rates at area hotels and more!

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, overlooking the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., is America’s living memorial to President Kennedy. Under the guidance of Chairman David M. Rubenstein, and President Deborah F. Rutter, the nine theaters and stages of the nation’s busiest performing arts facility attract audiences totaling 2 million; Center-related touring productions, television and radio broadcasts welcome 40 million more. To further serve as the Nation’s performing arts center, the Center announced in 2013 a significant expansion project to be constructed south of the existing facility. The Kennedy Center Expansion is intended to be a place where visitors can more actively engage with artists, while also creating new and much-needed rehearsal, education and flexible indoor and outdoor event and performance spaces.
Cincinnati Ballet thanks our generous hometown supporters including George and Kathy Wilkinson and many others, all of whom have made this tour possible.
