Jose Losada

Havana, Cuba| Senior Soloist| Joined Cincinnati Ballet in 2016

Jose Losada was born in Cuba and trained at The National Ballet School of Cuba, before beginning his professional career at The National Ballet of Cuba in 2005. He was promoted to the rank of coryphée in 2006, and later that year to first soloist with the National Ballet of Cuba. In 2009 Jose was promoted to principal dancer and has danced the majority of the repertoire of the Cuban Ballet. Some of his performances include principal roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppélia and The Nutcracker. Jose has also traveled extensively as a guest artist, performing with Les Grands Ballets de la Martiniquais, South Africa Cape Town Company, Hamilton City Ballet and Macedonian National Ballet. This is Losada’s first season with Cincinnati Ballet.
