Jonathan Carter began his ballet training at Northwest Florida Ballet under the direction of Todd Eric Allen and Dorothy Lister at the age of nine. Carter has participated in many summer intensives including Juilliard, Next Generation Ballet, Ballet West, and Atlanta Ballet. With Northwest Florida Ballet, Carter performed in numerous productions including Cinderella (the Prince), The Firebird (the Prince), Winthrop Corey’s Snow White (the Prince), The Nutcracker (the Snow King, lead Russian and Arabian), and Swan Lake (Pas de Trois). From Northwest Florida Ballet Carter joined Atlanta Ballet II under the direction of Gennadi Nedvigin, where he performed in John McFall’s The Nutcracker (Lead Trepak). In addition to his work with Atlanta Ballet, Carter has performed as a guest artist with Ballet Indiana, as well as Mobile Ballet in Alabama. This is Carter’s first season with Cincinnati Ballet.
