After beginning her training at a local ballet studio, Calissa enrolled in Boston Ballet School’s Classical Ballet Program in 2012. She went on to join their Pre-Professional Program where she was the recipient of the Pamela Jones Full Scholarship from 2014 to 2017. During her time at the school, she performed in many Boston Ballet company productions, including the role of Clara in Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker for two consecutive years and children’s roles in Balanchine’s Coppélia and Clerc’s La Bayadère. Calissa has attended summer intensives at the School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Boston Ballet.
