Open auditions for professional company contracts & CB2
Become a Cincinnati Ballet Dancer
Cincinnati Ballet will hold open auditions for all dancers interested in joining the professional company or CB2 (Cincinnati Ballet Second Company).
Times and locations of auditions are subject to change, so please check back closer to your audition date.
Required Company and CB2 Audition Materials:
- Résumé: Please detail personal information including: birth date, height, nationality and citizenship, current visa status if applicable, email address, phone and an address where you can be reached February-July, 2020.
- Dance photos: A headshot and one to two different full body views.
- Open Audition Fee: $40 USD (This fee is waived when current AGMA card is presented).
Dancer Requirements
- Maximum height for females: 5’9″
- Minimum height for males: 5’9″
Company and CB2 Class Auditions
If you are unable to attend our open auditions, please mail or email your audition materials to us along with the $45 audition fee. If your application is accepted, Cincinnati Ballet will contact you to invite you to attend one of our company class auditions. Company class auditions are by invitation only.
Required Company and CB2 Audition Materials:
- Résumé: Please detail personal information including: birth date, height, nationality and citizenship, current visa status if applicable, email address, phone and an address where you can be reached February-July, 2020.
- Dance photos: A headshot and one to two different full body views.
- Class Audition Application Fee: $45 USD (This fee is waived when current AGMA card is presented).
- Applicants must send video examples via online link or DVD, résumé, full body photos, and $45 audition fee to auditions@cballet.org by March 31, 2020 to be considered.

Video Requirements
Video links and DVDs should include current class (center work only) and performance work, providing a good representation of the dancer’s classical work as well as some contemporary styles. Videos are optional unless attending company class auditions.
Include these in your video
- Solo performance material in classical work
- Solo performance material in contemporary work
- Ladies must show at least one work on pointe
- If performance material is not available, you may send studio work that includes a variation and classwork with examples of adagio, petit and grand allegro and pirouettes.
