Bold Moves Plus Health & Safety Protocols

Cincinnati Ballet invites you to experience Bold Moves Plus, June 16-20 at Aronoff Center for the Arts. Given current health and safety restrictions, Cincinnati Ballet worked closely for months with health and safety experts and arts partners to create this socially-distanced production. Many of the guidelines followed echo Cincinnati Ballet’s ongoing health and safety protocols outlined below. Additionally, the following guidelines will be strictly enforced for all employees, dancers, vendors, and patrons during the production at Aronoff Center for the Arts.

Masks Required

  • Face masks are required at all times by guests (including children), staff, and volunteers in all areas of our venues.
  • Bring your own mask, and wear it as you enter the building. 
  • Masks must be worn during performances.
  • Plastic face shields may be worn in addition to a mask or face covering, but NOT as a substitute.
  • By wearing your mask at all times, you are helping those around you stay safe, and you are supporting our efforts to return to live performances. THANK YOU for playing your part!

Limited Capacity

In accordance with current state and local guidelines, capacity is limited to 160 patrons per performance. A maximum of four guests from the same household will be seated at physically-distanced tables that are more than 6 feet apart.

Social Distancing

  • Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • We will manage lines to enforce social distancing and to avoid overcrowding in restrooms.
  • Plexi-glass partitions have been added to our Ticket Offices and concession areas.
  • Elevator usage will be limited to one family/group at a time.
  • You may be asked to take your seats early to avoid congestion in the lobbies.
  • Remain in your ticketed seats before, during, and after the performance.
  • You may be asked to exit the theater by row, and to follow one-way directional traffic.
  • Our ushers and staff will guide you with announcements and friendly remiders, and respond to any questions or concerns you may have.

No Food or Drink in Music Hall Ballroom

  • In order to keep our face coverings on throughout the entirety of the performance, no food or drink will be permitted into Music Hall Ballroom.
  • Bar Service will be available in the Foyer starting 1 hour prior to the performance start time and will close 15 minutes prior to performance.
  • All drinks and snacks must be consumed while sitting at chairs within the Foyer prior to the performance starting.

Entering & Exiting the Venue

  • Patrons will enter Music Hall through the entrance at 1241 Elm Street.
  • Patrons are expected to maintain social distancing of at least six feet when not seated at their assigned table. Elevator usage will be limited to one family/group at a time.
  • Staff will monitor restrooms to prevent overcrowding.
  • Patrons will be asked to remain in their seats until their table number is instructed to exit. Patrons should also expect to follow one-way directional traffic both into an out of the Ballroom and Music Hall.
  • Cincinnati Ballet staff will be available to answer any questions and offer friendly reminders of our health and safety guidelines.

Enhanced Cleaning & Air Quality

  • Our venues are routinely cleaned and sanitized, following recommendations from the CDC. 
  • High traffic areas, frequently touched surfaces, and restrooms are cleaned before, during, and after every event.
  • Hand-sanitizing stations are provided throughout our venues.
  • Merv-13 air filters are used to optimize air quality inside our venues, as well as state-of-the-art air handling systems that maximize fresh air intake.

Health & Safety Screenings

  • A touchless temperature check will be given to all guests before entry.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms or have recently been exposed, stay at home and contact our Patron Engagement Office for information about ticket options.
  • Before entering our venues, all guests, staff, volunteers, and artists will be asked to certify that they are not experiencing symptoms and have not been recently exposed to COVID-19.
  • To expedite our safety screenings as you enter through the metal detectors, bring minimal personal items with you.
  • Coat check will not be offered until further notice.
  • Review the Prohibited Items list on our website prior to your visit to avoid any inconvenience.

Follow the CDC Guidelines

Touchless Environment

All tickets will be print at home. Patrons can print on their own or bring up the barcode on their phones. We are also equipped to print tickets at the Box Office and will have the printers facing the patron for contactless printing.

• There are over 2,500 parking spaces within walking distance to Music Hall. Please allow ample time to secure your parking before the performance.
• Handicapped spaces are in the Town Center Garage, Washington Park Garage, and (as available) in the Music Hall surface lot.
• A convenient drop-off lane is located in front of Music Hall, near the Box Office.
