Executive Director Scott Altman announces new leadership team with Tanya Cornejo joining as VP of External Affairs

Executive Director Scott Altman announces the administrative reorganization and expansion of Cincinnati Ballet’s leadership team with the addition of respected nonprofit leader Tanya Cornejo as Vice President of External Affairs. The newly imagined role has been added to the leadership team as part of Cincinnati Ballet’s long-term strategy for sustained growth and advancement.

“I am thrilled to welcome Tanya to our growing team as we launch into a new watershed period of stewardship and artistic evolution,” says Altman. “We are scaling up and optimizing our resources to support sustainable expansion as we look to the future. I’m confident that, with this new leadership team, Cincinnati Ballet is poised to move into our next phase of development as one of the preeminent ballet companies in the country.”

Tanya Cornejo has a proven record of developing teams, implementing strategic, multi-tiered campaigns, and directing strategy to exceed fundraising goals. She joins Cincinnati Ballet from her role as Development Director of Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House (RMH), the fourth largest RMH in the world. She most recently held the position of Relationship Manager for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and brings a wealth of experience in fundraising and relationship building. Her role at Cincinnati Ballet will have a primary focus on strengthening connections with constituents across the organization, as well as managing Cincinnati Ballet’s affinity groups, including the Cincinnati Ballet Young Professionals group (CBYP) and the Étoile women’s group.

Altman also recently introduced Brandy Lockaby to Cincinnati Ballet’s marketing team as Director of Brand and Design, leading the launch of Cincinnati Ballet’s brand refresh in the 2017-2018 Season. In addition, she will manage all brand assets and design efforts moving forward. Lockaby brings 11 years of experience building brands through her work at companies such as Spicefire, LPK, and Interbrand.
