SAM EPSTEIN


Sam Epstein grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York studying at the National Museum of Dance. In 2017 Sam began studying at Indiana University as a Wells Scholar and Premier Young Artist Award Recipient. While there, he was awarded first place in the 2018 National Society of Arts and Letters Bloomington Ballet Competition. In 2021, Sam’s first full-length story ballet was premiered at IU. He graduated with a B.S. in Ballet, Outside Field in Choreography, and a Music Composition Minor.

Sam’s repertoire includes leading roles in Jerome Robbins’ Spring from The Four Seasons and George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, Serenade (Waltz Boy) and Valse-Fantaisie. His summers included studying at Royal Ballet School, Royal Danish Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, and the Chautauqua Institution, where he performed with Charlotte Ballet and Nashville Ballet. Sam is excited to dance with Cincinnati Ballet’s Second Company this season.
