While in Boston, she was named a Laura Young Scholar and performed as Raymonda in Mikko Nissinen’s “Raymonda Act III.” Mia debuted as Clara in Boston Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” for Opening Night in 2018 and 2019, and was featured in the televised Nutcracker on NBC10 Boston in 2020. Some of her repertoire with Boston Ballet and Kansas City Ballet includes Christopher Wheeldon’s “The Bitter Earth,” George Balanchine’s “Serenade,” Sir Frederick Ashton’s “Cinderella,” and Septime Webre’s “The Wizard of Oz.” She also originated a role in Lia Cirio’s “The Peppermint Wind” for Boston Ballet’s annual Next Generation performance. Mia has attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet, Canada’s National Ballet School, and Chautauqua Institution. During her summers at Chautauqua, Mia was coached by Patricia McBride on the principal role in George Balanchine’s “Raymonda Variations,” performed a pas de deux titled “Loss” by Sasha Janes, and was chosen to receive the Michael Vernon Award for Excellence. For the past two summers, Mia participated in the Contemporary Ballet Program at Jacob’s Pillow both virtually and in person. While at Jacob’s Pillow, she had the opportunity to work with choreographers Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Jennifer Archibald, and perform in the Jacob’s Pillow 90th Anniversary Gala. She is excited to join Cincinnati Ballet II for the 2022-23 season and to collaborate with the company and community in Cincinnati!
