Born in Denver, Colorado, Calvin Peterson started his dance training at the age of 12 with the Colorado Ballet Academy and participated in the Finals of Youth America Grand Prix in New York in 2018. In 2020 he was selected by Patrick Armand to join the San Francisco Ballet School on a full merit scholarship. In 2023 he started his professional career with the Colorado Ballet with the productions of Swan Lake, Nutcracker and Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll and Hyde. While at Colorado Ballet, he performed lead roles in youth outreach performances dedicated towards teaching the next generation about the art of ballet. He is excited to join the Cincinnati Ballet Second Company and is looking forward to the upcoming season.
