Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Angelina began her training at age 12 with De La Dance Center under the direction of her parents, Meridith Benson and Mario de la Nuez, former dancers with Cincinnati Ballet. She trained alongside her twin, Anabelle, now a company member with Joffrey Ballet, her older sister Amelie, and brother Michael, a dancer with American Ballet Theater. Angelina worked her way up through the school into the company, receiving further training and performance opportunities. After graduating high school, Angie joined Grand Rapids Ballet as a trainee for the 2022/23 season, returning the following year to De La Dance Company as a soloist to further her professional performance experience. This is Angelina’s first season with Cincinnati Ballet as a second company member, and she is so excited for the year ahead!
