Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy is the area’s preeminent classical ballet training program. With a mission to inspire hope and joy in our community and beyond through the power and passion of dance, we serve students and families throughout the greater Cincinnati area through pre-professional dance training, unparalleled performance opportunities and a strong connection to Cincinnati Ballet. Taught by nationally and internationally recognized faculty the Academy offers comprehensive dance education through three school year divisions and specialized summer training programs.
January 23 Weather Update: Contemporary and Adult Intermediate Ballet are canceled. All other classes continuing as normally scheduled.
The Academy will be closed Monday, September 5 in honor of the Labor Day holiday.

Founded in 1997, the primary goal of the Otto M. Budig Academy is to provide excellence in technical and artistic training and to inspire a love of dance. With a curriculum based in the Vaganova tradition, instruction is also infused with the 20th & 21st century influences which have developed in classical ballet over the past 60 years. Academy students enjoy the opportunity to enrich their lives through dance while developing grace, poise, mental and physical discipline as well as an appreciation and awareness of the arts. The guiding principles of the Academy are to teach, challenge and inspire students to achieve their highest goals in a nurturing and positive environment.

For new students ages 2 to 8
This October through December, the Academy invites new students ages 2 to 8 to try their first class free. If they enroll within a week of their free class, we’ll waive their registration fee. Contact us to schedule your free class today!
