Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy is the area’s preeminent classical ballet training program. With a mission to inspire hope and joy in our community and beyond through the power and passion of dance, we serve students and families throughout the greater Cincinnati area through pre-professional dance training, unparalleled performance opportunities and a strong connection to Cincinnati Ballet. Taught by nationally and internationally recognized faculty the Academy offers comprehensive dance education through three school year divisions and specialized summer training programs.
January 23 Weather Update: Contemporary and Adult Intermediate Ballet are canceled. All other classes continuing as normally scheduled.
The Academy will be closed on Monday, February 15 in honor of President’s Day.

Founded in 1997, the primary goal of the Otto M. Budig Academy is to provide excellence in technical and artistic training and to inspire a love of dance. With a curriculum based in the Vaganova tradition, instruction is also infused with the 20th & 21st century influences which have developed in classical ballet over the past 60 years. Academy students enjoy the opportunity to enrich their lives through dance while developing grace, poise, mental and physical discipline as well as an appreciation and awareness of the arts. The guiding principles of the Academy are to teach, challenge and inspire students to achieve their highest goals in a nurturing and positive environment.
The unique connection to Cincinnati Ballet provides unparalleled performance opportunities for selected students as well as invaluable networking and employment resources for advanced students. Led by Victoria Morgan, Artistic Director and CEO of Cincinnati Ballet, and Catherine Batcheller, Academy Dean, the Otto M. Budig Academy provides classical ballet training at its finest.
Guest Instructor, Karina Elver
Karina Elver, former Royal Danish Ballet dancer and current instructor, choreographer, repetiteur and Bournonville specialist, joins Cincinnati Ballet the week of January 11 for company and Academy master classes.

Wednesday, January 13 from 6:15 – 8:15 pm (Level 6/7)
Thursday, January 14 from 6:15 – 8:45 pm (Level 5)
Friday, January 15 from 6:15 – 8:30 pm (Level 4)
Saturday, January 16 from 1:45 – 4:15 pm (Level 6/7)
